The toddlers at Edgewater Preschool have been taking care of the garden, watering the plants and watching them grow. All their hard work paid off. They recently picked their very own yellow squash! After giving it a good wash and cutting it into pieces (with help from the teachers), the squash was added to the school’s lunch soup. Everyone got to taste the yummy vegetable they helped grow. Through this daily garden time, the toddlers learned how plants grow, what they need to stay healthy (like sun and water), and where our food comes from.
