For the 18 days the children watched the eggs in the incubator and early last week 6 of the eggs hatched and seem healthy. We will find out over the next few months how many are hens and how many are roosters, we are crossing our fingers for some hens this year, the neighbors were not too crazy about the early morning rooster wake up calls. In the next week or so the chicks will take turns visting each preschool and toddler classroom as they grow and become strong enough to be outside in the animal pen.
